Have you ever gone through a day thinking that you’re not good enough? It’s funny because you don’t even know what it is that you’re not good enough for… But you just feel like you’re just not good enough.
It’s a sucky feeling. To some people I’m good enough, to others I may be more than good enough, but there are those who think that i’m not… I know shocking right? Lol. But seriously for the most part I could give a rat’s tail what people think of me, but the fact is we are all human and it hurts nonetheless.
The feeling of inadequateness is definitely one of the devils tools to keep us further away from God. We spend our time in deep thought on how effed up, jacked up and messed up our lives are. We allow ourselves to be so consumed with nothingness. Most of the stuff we care about are for the birds. Should I really care that there is a certain aspect of my life that you don’t like? Should you care that I hate the way you wear your hair? None of us are that important.
So with that said, why do we feel like it is ok to make someone feel less than? Some of us do not do it on purpose (I guess), and others feel that they have arrived and therefore have the authority to make people feel like they are worthless. I can truly say that it is a big relief that my fate does not rest in the hands of man. Because if that’s how it were to go down, none of us would make it. Man is not merciful and grace is a foreign concept.
We have to watch what we say and do to each other. Many of us need to stop walking around like we good money, because the reality is that all of us are one step away from screwing up. It’s easy to be holier than thou when you have never fallen or better yet when no one has even seen you fall. I’m not trying to say that to be mercenaries of the truth we all need to take a walk on the wild side, i’m just saying that the people who are the most humble are those who have had an experience.
So for those of you who have received awards and honorable mentions in the categories of criticising, finger-pointing, and condemnation, keep your stones in your pocket. You’re probably not as good as you think you are and at the end of the day it is all about encouraging each other to stay on the path of righteousness. If this is a problem for you, than you’re a real hater and haters never prosper, let alone make it to the gates.
